Preview of the first page of Exploring the Sad Emotion

An EVS tasksheet where Nursery children explore the feeling of sadness. They draw a sad face and match sadness-inducing situations like fighting or getting sick to the drawing.

On the sheet

Features a large blank face outline with a red border in the center, surrounded by four colorful scenario illustrations: "Breaking things knowingly", "Fighting with someone", "Falling sick", and "Having favourite toys". The child draws a sad face, adds tactile loose parts (twigs, grass, buttons, etc.) for facial features, and connects/matches the situations that make them sad to the central face.
