Enquiring — printable resources

Nurturing a child's natural curiosity to explore, investigate, and understand the wider world.

The Enquiring strand is designed to nurture a child's natural wonder and cognitive thinking about their surrounding environment. Our science and social studies printables include outdoor observation templates, sorting and matching games, weather charts, and cognitive mazes. These worksheets give young children structured ways to record their findings, explore living things, and understand their local community.

To make the most of these templates, connect them directly to your play-based inquiry process. Take children on nature walks or simple excursions before they write on their observation sheets. Using these sheets to document discoveries during the explain the learning and exit point stages helps children take ownership of their research and celebrates their natural curiosity.
